Iran says the country has produced its first batch of uranium enriched at a higher level.
Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made the announcement in Tehran on Thursday, saying his country would not be bullied by the West into curtailing its nuclear program.
A day after the US imposed new sanctions against Iran, the Islamic Republic has shown no intention of bowing down.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian president, said, "The day before yesterday, the process of producing the 20-percent fuel began. I'm going to announce here with a loud voice that the news released by the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization was that the first package of 20 percent fuel was produced and provided to the scientists."
