Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Iran poses a "grave threat" to Israel. He made the remark while visiting an Israeli naval base.

He warned about the prospect of Iran acquiring a nuclear capability, saying that Israel would be "the first target." He urged the world to "act with determination" on the Iranian issue.

Israel regards Iran as one of its main security threats, and has so far refused to rule out the option of taking military action against Iranian nuclear sites.
