Visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, have met in Paris to find ways to revive Middle east peace efforts.
The two leaders met for more than an hour and a half Wednesday, but announced no progress on differences over Jewish settlements. France is taking a strong stance on the issue, saying a settlement freeze is indispensable to peace talks, claiming Israelis seem to have lost aspirations for peace.
The same day, an anti-Israeli demonstration took place at the Champs-Elysee. People protesting Netanyahu's visit, denounced Sarkozy for welcoming him to France.
