The Thai government may revoke a deal on overlapping maritime boundaries, signed with Cambodia in 2001. The proposed cancelation follows a recall of ambassadors from both countries.

The diplomatic tit-for-tat began when former Thai Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra, was appointed as an adviser to Cambodian Prime Minister, Hun Sen, and King Norodom Sihamoni.
