Spanish Prime Minister, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, has visited Israel and the West Bank.

In Jerusalem, the Spanish prime minister met with Israeli President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Tzipi Livni, the leader of Israel's opposition.

He also held talks with Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas at his headquarters in Ramallah, West Bank. Zapatero discussed the stalled peace process with leaders of both sides, among other regional issues.
