Israeli warplanes have targeted two tunnels used by smugglers along the Gaza border with Egypt. Wednesday's attack wounded three Palestinians digging the tunnels.

A Palestinian medical source said one of the three was moderately wounded. An Israeli army spokeswoman said the air strikes were in response to rocket attacks launched into Israel. But no Palestinian group has claimed responsibility for firing the rocket.
