Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says some countries have offered to provide Iran with uranium enriched to 20 percent for use as nuclear reactor fuel.

The country's IRNA news agency reported that Ahmadinejad also said Iran could buy nuclear fuel from the United States. The Iranian leader described the recent Geneva meeting with the six powers as "a step forward" for all countries involved.

The talks in Geneva ended with Iranian officials agreeing to open the nation's newly disclosed nuclear plant to UN inspectors and take other steps to show it is not trying to develop nuclear weapons.

International concerns have been growing after a report said Iran plans to install a more advanced type of centrifuge at its newly revealed uranium enrichment site.
