Iran to defend nuclear facilities

Iran says its ready to defend its nuclear facilities against any foreign attacks. The Chief of Iran's Nuclear Energy Organization made the remarks on the sidelines of the annual meeting at the IAEA in Vienna.

Ali Akbar Salehi, says Iran is continuously threatened with attacks against its nuclear facilities. He says Tehran is confident of its capacities to defend itself.

He says Iran agreed on new measures of cooperation with UN inspectors, but declined to elaborate on the details.

At the conference, the head of Israel's Atomic Energy Commission, is calling for countries to punish Iran with immediate measures over its failure to fully cooperate with the IAEA.
