Ningbo part one

In the sixteenth century, this area was constantly hassled by Japanese pirates. So in 1560, Ming Government built WeiYuan Fort on the top of Zhaobao Mountain to fight off the Japanese pirates.

Since then, Zhenhai kou experienced many major naval wars in last several hundred years including anti-British, anti- French and anti-Japanese wars. And now it is the largest and one of the best-kept ancient naval fortresses in China.

To experience the modern city life of Ningbo, Tian Yi Square located at the heart of the city is THE place to go.

This is the largest recreational square in whole Asia, and for recreational activities, you've got KareOke, bars, for good food, there are hundreds of good, delicious seafood restaurants, and KFC, McDonald鈥檚; and for fashion, you鈥檝e got the hippest fashion in town over there.

Ningbo boasts some of the largest clothing manufacturers in China. So it is almost a crime not to do some shopping in the city known as the metropolis of garment in China. But there is also the danger for those weak-minded to shop till drop and broke.

The nightlife of Ningbo is more exciting and inviting than you鈥檇 ever expected. And the center of the universe is still the glitzy Tianyi square.


The music fountain is said to be one of the largest in Asia. If you come here on Sunday, you will get the bonus water screen movie show.
