Yushu students survive quake

The Yushu orphan school, which is sponsored by China Central Television Station, was severely damaged by the earthquake.

Despite the collapse of their school, all the orphans and teachers survived and have been moved to temporary shelters. It started off as a normal morning.

156 students from the Yushu orphan school were having breakfast when the quake struck.

The teachers immediately told students to evacuate the building.

Student of Yushu Orphan School, said, "The older students were protecting the younger ones, and we all gathered here. The teachers asked us not to panic, and we then counted the number of students." (CCTV.com)
