Medical teams arrive in Yushu county

Medical teams from many cities across the country have descended on Yushu county to take part in rescue operations, and treatment of injured quake victims. So far, more than one thousand doctors have treated people from the quake zone.

China's Ministry of Health organized and sent a Beijing medical team of orthopedists, surgeons, and anesthesiologist, for quake zone on Thursday morning. The ninety-three member team carried six tons of rescue materials.

A Shenzhen medical team arrived in Xining airport, on Thursday morning. The one hundred and ten person team come from five hospitals in Shenzhen. Most of them have experience from the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake's rescue operations. They carried fifteen tons of quake relief facilities and supplies.

Sixty three rescue vehicles were sent from Shanxi province on Thursday, along with three hundred and eighteen doctors.
