The Arab League's Secretary-General, Amr Moussa, has met with Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, in Cairo. They discussed issues, incluing the resumption of peace talks between Israel and Palestinians.
Mossa chaired the opening session of the Arab Foreign Ministers' meeting. Arab Foreign Ministers will deliver keynote speeches on Wednesday on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
Israel has called for an immediate resumption of peace talks. But Palestinians want a full halt to Israeli settlement building in the West Bank and East Jerusalem before any negotiations. Israel has rejected the Palestinian demands.
