The commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards says it will give a "crushing" response to the group behind the deadly suicide attack on its ground forces in southeastern Iran.
Meanwhile, the country's President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has also urged the perpetrators to be apprehended.
The deadly suicide attack in the province of Sistan-Baluchestan near Iran's border with Pakistan, claimed some 30 lives, including six of Iran's senior Revolutionary Guards commanders.
A local rebel group Jundallah has claimed responsibility.
Sunday's incident is one of the boldest attacks against Iran's most powerful military institution.
It has highlighted instability in the southeastern region which borders Pakistan and Afghanistan.
President Ahmadinejad has called on Pakistan to cooperate with Iran in apprehending the culprits.
