Stage comedy portrays classical thinker

In Beijing, a comedy is ready to mount the local stage. Titled "Who is Master Zhuang", the show puts the ancient thoughts and ideas of Zhuang Zi into a modern and familiar perspective.

The production will feature a largely young cast, composed chiefly of rookie performers. This is the first time that a comedy interpretation of classical thinker's life has been staged in China.

A contemporary of Plato, Zhuang Zi, hero of the play, is considered a founder of Taoism, a system of thinking that has influenced Chinese ways for over two thousand years.
