Palestinian armed groups to contact Abbas

The leaders of Islamic group, Hamas, and the "Movement of Holy War Jihad" have both welcomed the Palestinian election's smooth conclusion. They expressed willingness to engage in dialogue with Mahmoud Abbas, to solve domestic disagreements and to secure the rights of the Palestinian people. Spokesman for Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Sami Abu Zuhri, says it'll be difficult for Abbas to win widespread backing and concrete understanding without the help of other factions. That's because there's as yet no elected parliament and Abbas still faces the boycott of a high percentage of his people, who chose not to vote this time around.
