BAGHDAD, April 6 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were killed and 10 wounded after three explosions rocked the Iraqi capital of Baghdad Tuesday morning.

The first two explosions struck near two residential buildings in northern Baghdad at 8:45 a.m. local time. At least two were killed and 10 others injured after the buildings collapsed, the Interior Ministry said.

A third strong explosion was heard later not far from Xinhua's office in central Baghdad, but there have been no details about it. A large column of smoke was seen rising near the public works ministry buildings.
