ISLAMABAD, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani security forces nabbed at least 50 suspected militants and recovered arms and drugs from their possession in Khyber tribal area near the Afghan border, the army said Sunday.

According to the Paramilitary Frontier Constabulary sources, a search operation was conducted in Tehsil Jamrood in Khyber against miscreants involved in terror activities.

A few days ago a suicide bomber attacked security forces convoy from the same area, killing and injuring several security forces personnel.

Pakistani security forces have launched an offensive against Taliban militants in the restive tribal region, from where they plot attacks on Pakistani government officials and installations.
