Pakistan to launch 10th five-year plan from next year

ISLAMABAD, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistani government Sunday decided to launch its 10th five year plan from next year to accelerate overall development of the country.

The plan will play a pivotal role in bringing about basic changes in the development paradigm by focusing on the socio-economic development of common man.

National resources will be redirected for accelerating growth in the southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan, the North West Frontier Province, the Federally-Administered Tribal Areas and less developed areas in other provinces to reduce disparity inhuman development.

Special emphasis will be laid in the plan on promoting public-private partnership for speedy and sustainable economic development.

Education and health services will be the major priority in the plan with great emphasis on their improvement.
