Shane Kim to retire from Microsoft

BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Vice President of Strategy and Business Development Shane Kim plans to retire from Microsoft at the end of this year, media reports said Tuesday.

Kim, who has been with Microsoft for nearly two decades, has been one of the most recognizable Xbox personalities and has participated in delivering some of this generation's biggest games including the Halo series and Gears of War.

He has held multiple positions with Microsoft's Gaming division including Corporate Vice President and his current position -- Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Business Development.

Phil Spencer, the current General Manager of Microsoft Game Studios, is replacing Kim.
