Senior DPRK official meets Chinese women delegation

PYONGYANG, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, met with a visiting Chinese women delegation led by Zhen Yan, vice president of the All-China Women's Federation on Friday.

Choe spoke highly of the traditional friendly relations between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and China and said the visit by the Chinese delegation would help strengthen such cooperative ties between the two peoples, especially between women in the two countries.

Zhen expressed the hope that efforts would be made to further strengthen exchanges between the two nations.

The Chinese delegation left on Friday after a five-day visit to the DPRK.
