Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |
HONG KONG, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong confirmed 225 new cases of influenza A/H1N1 Thursday, bringing the total to 4,974 in the region, local health authorities said.
A spokesman for the Department of Health said the new cases involve 111 males and 114 females, aged between 10 months and 83 years.
According to the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, a total of 57 confirmed cases are currently staying in public hospitals for treatment. Among them, 52 cases are in stable condition, one in serious and four in critical condition.
