NEW DELHI, July 16 (Xinhua) -- The United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will arrive at India's financial capital Mumbai Friday evening to start a four-day visit to India, reported the Press Trust of India on Friday.
This will be her first visit to India since becoming the top U.S. diplomat early this year, and the first visit by a U.S. secretary of state to the city since Madeleine Albright in 2000.
Clinton will stay at Mumbai's milestone Taj Mahal Hotel which witnessed a terrorist attack last November, according to the report.
Clinton will meet on Saturday with Indian business leaders and visit a center of the Self-Employed Women's Association. She will also pay tributes to the victims of the Mumbai attacks.
Clinton, who is on an official visit to India and Thailand from June 17 to 23, is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on Sunday.
