Yemeni airliner crashes in Comoros with 150 on board: report

NAIROBI/SANA'A, June 30 (Xinhua) -- A Yemeni airliner with 150 people on board crashed in the Comoros archipelago in the Indian Ocean on Tuesday, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

Quoting Comoros Vice President Idi Nadhoim from the airport, the report said no immediate news on whether there are any survivors.

It said the crash occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.

Xinhua reporters in Sana'a, capital of Yemen, called the headquarters of Yemenia Air, but nobody answered.

According to the airline's schedule on website, an Airbus A310 passenger plane flew to Moroni from Sana'a at 8:00 p.m. local time, Monday. The plane is scheduled to land at the islands on 23: 59 p.m. local time.
