| China continued to show their dominance in table tennis, this time beating the world all-star team on Tuesday. |
At the table tennis challenge held in Shanghai, South Korea's Joo Se Kyuk gave the world team a glimmer of hope by winning the first match against young Chinese player Ma Long, who was suffering a shoulder injury. He beat Ma by three games to one.
Next up was another young player Xu Xin, who took on former world number one Vladimir Samsonov of Belarus. Xu did feel the pressure and lost the first game 11-8. But he changed his tactics in the following three games by attacking Samsonov's side and swept the match 3-1. With the series tied at 1 all, China would add two more wins in the next two matches.
The deciding match once again fell on Xu as he faced the only winner of the world team, Joo Se Hyuk. This time Joo was no match for Xu as China won the challenge 4-1.
