Greece has confirmed its first case of A/H1N1 flu. The patient is a 19-year-old student who returned from the United States over the weekend.

Authorities say the student felt the first symptoms on Sunday. He has been put in an isolation room in hospital. Members of the student's family are being tested in quarantine.

The Greek Health Ministry says the country has enough "strategic stocks" of Tamiflu and other antiviral medicine to treat 12 percent of the country's 11-million population. Two hospitals in Athens have been designated to treat A/H1-N1 flu patients.
