Last Friday, he arrived in Beijing on flight AC-029 from Canada, where he had been studying at university.
He had a fever and other symptoms, including a sore throat and headache two days later.
On Monday evening, Lv took the D-41 train from Beijing, arriving in Jinan three hours later.
He reported to the Jinan Center for Disease Control and Prevention, which immediately sent him to the city's Infectious Disease Hospital for treatment.
The Ministry of Health has sent medical specialists to Jinan to guide prevention and control.
