Front runners have stepped up campaigning two weeks ahead of the vote set for June the 12th. Current President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is seeking re-election, and is re-iterating hardline foreign policies and nuclear programs that defined his first term in office. Speaking to thousands of supporters in Tehran, Ahmadinejad said that if he is re-elected, he will increase the number of nuclear centrifuges stockpiled by Iran from three-thousand to 55-thousand. His main rival, former Prime Minister, Mir Hossein Mousavi, has promised economic and political reform...and protection for women's rights. Supporters expect his reformist agenda will allow Iran to engage with the international community.
