Brazilian side Corinthians won their thirty-first Sao Paolo State Championship on Sunday following a 1-1 draw with Santos.

But celebrations over the triumph were marred when a combination of streamers, ticker tape and open flames put captain William in a much hotter situation than he would have liked.

The Corinthians skipper had wanted to celebrate in style by taking the trophy up on a crane so everyone could get a good look.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, but teammate Ronaldo had scathing words about the organization later, saying it was obvious that it was going to catch fire.
