Kobe Bryant chose to organize, not finish attacks in the opening quarter. Bryant's teammates did not waste the chances he created and grabbed an early lead. Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams powered the Jazz to reduce the margin.

Bryant then came back to his solo performance, helping the top seed in the Western Conference go into the second half with a 22-point advantage. Then Utah regained its composure in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to under 10.

Boozer led the team with 27 points, but his turnovers also hit a high mark. L-A's Trevor Ariza capitalized on one Boozer mistake and finished with this dunk. Bryant led the Lakers with 24 points. They finally took a 113-100 victory over the Jazz.
