Special Report:   Harbin 24th Winter Universiade

YABULI, Northeast China, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Swiss Dimitri Cuche won the men's slalom for his double victories at the Harbin Universiade here on Friday.

Cuche finished two runs in one minute and 33.98 seconds (47.68 and 46.30 seconds) to take his second title, following his victory in the men's giant slalom on Wednesday.

Manuel Pescollderungg from Italy was edged down by 0.88 points, and Franchman Jonathan Midol was in third place falling 1.28 seconds behind.

Cuche was ranked seventh after first run, but a strong second run enabled him to top the table.

Three skiers from Switzerland enjoyed a feast of double triumphs in Alpine skiing. Tamara Wolf won women's downhill and super-G; Sandro Boner took the men's downhill and super-G.
