Special Report: Harbin 24th Winter UniversiadeYABULI, Northeast China, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Polish Katarzyna Karasinska won the women's slalom in an overall time of one minute 25.39 seconds from two runs here at the Harbin Universiade on Thursday.
Eliane Volken of Switzerland booked second place 0.76 seconds behind and Aleksandra Klus took the third place for Poland 1.95 seconds trailing.
Katarzyna finished the first run in first place in 42.69 seconds and a similar 42.70 seconds in the second run secured her the top place.
Volken took a provisional second place in the first run in 43.65 seconds, but a best 42.50 seconds in the day was not enough for her to overtake Katarzyna.
