BEIJING, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Cyclist Samuel Sanchez from Spain claimed the men's road race title in six hours, 23 minutes and 49 seconds at the Beijing Olympics here Saturday afternoon.

Davide Rebellin from Italy finished second while Fabian Cancellara from Switzerland got the third.
