Intro:

There is a legendary journalist who set the standard for the profession of news anchors in the US. He announced the death of President Kennedy and hosted the live coverage on moon landing. And no one would be elected president unless he said so.

The Vietnam War ended when he said it was time to go. Walter Cronkite was the voice of reason and the most trusted man in America. For almost 20 years, Cronkite was the face of CBS Evening News.

Journalism is like the first draft of history. And watching Walter Cronkite is like watching the history. To take a closer look at his profile and contributions to American journalism, we are joined here by Mr. Andrew Leckey, former CNBC anchor and author of ten financial books and Mr. Shi Anbin, a professor of journalism  with Tsinghua University.
