Hello, I am Yang Rui with Voices and Votes, Premier Wen jiabao outlined a tough scenario of hopefully a stead and rapid economic growth in  2009 in his work report.

The televised policy speech sets forth the goal of 8 percent GDP growth rate and vows to transform its current mode of development. As the centerpiece of the 4 trillion yuan of stimulus package aims to create jobs, reduce taxes and build infrastructure, three thousand law makers will carefully examine his state of the union speech in ares of medical reform, social security programs and education. anti-corruption, unemployment and sustainable growth top the agenda of the people's deputies in their closed-door group deliberations.

In the next one hour, I will be talking to Dr. Victor Gao Zhikai, Mr. John Holden and Mr. Authur Kroeber live in the studio. In an ensuing telephone interview, i will talk to Mr. Rowan Callick, chief correspondent of the Australians. But he is standing by in Sydney. In the second half, i will be joined by my colleague Liu Ge in a satellite interview. He will brief us on how Europeans look at the Beijing agenda in times of crisis. But, let's look at some some of the highlights of Premier Wen's policy speech in the first place.
