Intro:
The long-awaited plan for China'a health care reform comes out recently. After three years of consultation, debate and soul-searching, the government has decided that the goal of this round of reform would be to let the government bear most of the medical expenses of the people by 2011. But some analysts say, it is rather a general plan and the result of it depents greatly on the future details and implementation.
To understand better about this debate and the reform, I am joined by: Dr Hans Troedsson, WHO China Representative; Prof. Gordon Liu, Guanghua Management School, Peking University; Roberta Lipson, CEO Chindex international.
