Intro:
Today, January 8th , is the 33rd anniversary of late Premier Zhou Enlai’s death. Mr. Zhou is perhaps the most respectable among all of those first-generation CPC leaders and founding fathers of the People’s Republic of China.
His leadership and charisma are characterized with typical Chinese philosophy of survival and triumph, especially under adverse circumstances. His dedication to the people’s cause of happiness and prosperity, his skills to make compromise without sacrificing principle and his loyalty to the nation as well as to the paramount leader become the subject matter for endless memoirs and the official history textbooks.
Zhou Enlai is also the first foreign minister of the new republic.
