China has again demanded the return of two imperial bronze sculptures auctioned in Paris last week. Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang says the essence of the issue is that the looted relics are originally owned by China. Qin's comment came after a Chinese man, Cai Mingchao, was identified as the winning bidder for the bronze heads of a rabbit and a rat, with 31.49 million euros. Cai has said he's not going to pay. The spokesman said he learned the bidder was Chinese only after Cai and the National Treasure Funds of China held a press conference Monday.
