The goods include 28 categories from Hong Kong and 475 categories from Macao. They mainly range from food, pharmaceuticals and textile. The tariff cut is in line with the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement, which were signed in 2003. Statistics show that by the end of April, the mainland had imported more than 2 billion US dollars worth of Hong Kong manufactured goods which were under zero-tariff rate.
