Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan has completed a formal investigation into the building and operation of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and held a meeting to decide whether or not the railway meets national standards.

Zeng has confirmed that the railway does in fact meet necessary standards, and is all set for a new phase of operation. Zeng acknowledged that construction itself was a learning process, and that continued efforts would mean even greater improvement.
