Hong Kong' s traditionally strong economy continues to perform well according to recent figures.The business sentiment from enterprises remained positive with new jobs created pushing the jobless rate to historical lows.

Hong Kong's jobless rate on a seasonally adjusted basis stood at 4.3 percent in May, the lowest in nine years. Although fresh graduates were up 13 thousand, the number of employed people rose by 14 thousand to nearly 3.5 million during the same period.

Xu Changtai, Standard Chartered economist said: "I think in the next few months, or even one to two years, the jobless rate will continue to fall, but at a slower rate. We expect the rate to fall to 4 percent very soon. "
