Quake student in process of recovery

School buildings that collapsed in last year's earthquake are now being rebuilt, and most students have returned to class. As part of CCTV special series "Beyond Survival", Han Bin returns to speak to a student and a teacher he first met last year at Aba Teachers College in Wenchuan, and gets their thoughts, a year after their lives were changed forever.

Zhang Zhengliang, a student of Aba Teachers College, said, "No matter where I am, if the country needs me. I should  contribute myself to help others, as the country and society  saved our lives."

This was an unforgettable scene for many students from Aba Teachers College. Zhang Zhengliang and his music gave them a ray of hope. Last May, the earthquake brought an end to classes.

Today, he and his classmates continue their studies elsewhere. For the most part, life is back to normal, though conditions aren't good as before. But Zhang Zhengliang says the whole experience has taught him how to live.

Zhang Zhengliang, a student of Aba Teachers College, said, "No matter where I am, if the country needs me. I should contribute myself to help others, as the country and society saved our lives."

Zhang Zhengliang is majoring in telecommunications. He has one more year before graduating.
