Nyima Cering: Tibetan mountaineering hero

Mount Qomolangma, known in the west as Mount Everest, is the world's highest mountain, with five peaks over 8,000 meters. Over the years, it's become known as the holy grail for mountain climbers. One such team from the Tibet Mountaineering Guide School created history last year.

When the 2008 Beijing Olympic torch arrived at the top of  Mount Everest, the eyes of the world were on the five torch  bearers.

"The third torch has been lighted successfully. This is Nyima Cering. He is walking vigorously towards the peak of Mount Qomolangma."

Nyima Cering was not only one of the five torch bearers, he's also the head of the Tibet Mountaineering Guide School, as well as a special correspondent for Xinhua News Agency.
