Germany wins women´s kayak four (K4) 500m gold

BEIJING, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- Germany claimed the women's kayak four (K4) 500m title in one minute and 32.231 seconds at the Beijing Olympics on Friday.

Fanny Fischer, Nicole Reinhardt, Katrin Wagner-Augustin, Conny  Wassmuth of Germany compete in the Kayak four (K4) 500m women  final of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Canoe/Kayak Flatwater event  in Beijing, China, Aug. 22, 2008. The team of Germany clinched  the gold medal in this event with a time of 1:32.231.  (Xinhua/Jiang Enyu)

Hungary took the silver in 1:32.971, and Australia got the bronze in 1:34:704.
