More than 400 athletes arrive in Qingdao to prepare for Olympics

Athletes from around the world are arriving in China and making final preparations. More than 400 athletes from over 40 countries have arrived in the co-host city of Qingdao, in eastern China, where the Olympic sailing event will be held.

There are 74 containers which are used to store sailing boats that is the full accommodation capacity of the training base for Olympic sailing. Organizers have decided to expand this base area for the athletes' training needs.

The Olympic Village in Qingdao will open next Sunday, and participants will be able to transfer containers to the Olympic Sailing Center.
