Special Report:   17th CPC National Congress

Under the direct leadership of the CPC Central Committee, the Central Party School is the highest institution of the Party for training high and middle ranking party officials and Marxist theoreticians.

Chinese officials gather here to sharpen their leadership skills, both in theory and in practice.

Like many other prestigious learning institutions, the Central Party School has a beautiful campus. What makes it special is its function as a training ground for Party officials.

The late Chairman Mao Zedong coined the school's motto: "To seek truth from facts." It's followed by every official studying here.

This seminar deals with practical problems officials may come across in their work. They study how to increase farmers' incomes and ways to attract investment for local development.

Students search for the truth from the facts they know, and from their live discussions. The open and free talks between them can inspire both students and teachers.

Vice governor of Zhejiang Province Mao Linsheng said, "It's a good experience for me to enhance my skills of public administration by learning how to solve practical problems."

Central Party School teacher said, "Teaching in the party school is very interesting and challenging. Students have different perspectives. They also raise very tough questions, which in turn enlighten us in our research."
