Ling Ling and its partners did not have to work so hard to search for food on the mountain as their ancestors had.  All they had to do was jump up and reach out, and all sorts of delicious food would fall into their hands.  The tourists enjoyed feeding and playing with the monkeys, so that now the Emei Mountain monkeys were no longer afraid of human beings.  In fact, they were actually quite friendly with humans, taking them as part of the landscape.  As time went on, the monkeys became more and more misbehaved.  They not only begged for food from the tourists, but they even began to steal food right from out of their hands. The Emei monkeys should really stop this monkey business.
