An exhibition in Beijing is showcasing 175 gifts Chinese leaders have received during the past six decades. The gifts come from nearly 40 countries.

These are no ordinary gifts. They are examples of friendship between countries. Each one is telling a story of cultural exchange. Drums are the soul of traditional African music. What's special about this drum is that it is covered with zebra skin. It was a gift to late Chairman Mao Zedong by then Tanzanian President Julius Nyerere, 35 years ago. The gifts evoke past memories.

Qiu Shengyun, former consular general in New York, said, "This pair of swans were given as a gift to Chairman Mao by President Nixon during his visit to China. They are very exquisite. They represent the friendship between American people and Chinese people. "

This piece of art is also winning admiration. It's a gift from the governor of Bali, Indonesia. The fifty-centimeter-high Balinese dancer is made of more than one hundred Chinese copper coins that date back to the Qing Dynasty. The exhibition will last until September 2nd.
