U.S. President Barack Obama has met with Chinese President Hu Jintao's special representatives for the China-U.S. Strategic and Economic Dialogue.

At a meeting in the White House following the conclusion of the dialogue, Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan, along with State Councilor Dai Bingguo, delivered a message from Hu Jintao to Barack Obama. Hu Jintao said he would work with Obama to build a positive, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Wang Qishan said the two sides had talked in depth during the past two days, exchanged views and reached a broad consensus.

Obama expressed hope that the two countries could deepen their cooperation in various fields. He said issues to focus on would include the reform of the international financial system, maintaining global financial stability, jointly addressing development issues and conducting constructive dialogue on clean energy.
