Iranian officials have lashed out at some Western countries, particularly Britain and the United States, over what it terms their interference in Iran's election affairs.

The country has been hit by massive street demonstrations and clashes between protestors and police since President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was officially re-elected on June the 13th.

In a speech to foreign diplomats in Tehran on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki was highly critical of certain Western countries.

He singled out France, Germany and Britain for their "inappropriate, illogical and interfering words."

Mottaki insisted that Iran's election process and its entire monitoring system made the possibility of any irregularities or vote rigging close to zero.

Manouchehr Mottaki, Iranian Foreign Minister, said, "In this interaction, no one should think by mistake that they should have a larger role or more rights compared to others."
