Iran's Chief Delegate to the International Atomic Energy Agency has defended his country's right to pursue nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

The Iranian delegate stressed that Iran will never have nuclear weapons.

Ali Ashgar Soltanieh, Iranian Cheif Delegate to IAEA, said, "We will not deprive our great nation from benefiting from peaceful uses of nuclear energy, as I said, but we are following the logical, pragmatic and operative atmosphere and environment and we are fully cooperating with the agency and we will continue our full cooperation of course in accordance with the agreement."
